Team training

Now Active's Team Training are small group personal training sessions held only at The Gym Hove. You get the guidance and coaching of a private training session while sharing the cost and time with other like-minded people. 

 

The 60-minute sessions held throughout the week will help you get stronger, move better and feel more confident in the gym. Unlike fitness classes, Team Training follows a periodised program that is designed to make you stronger and fitter over time.

The focus is on free weights, compound movements, progressive overload and form to ensure you get stronger in the most efficient way while remaining injury-free.

What is Team Training?

 

Team Training is small group personal training capped at 5 participants per session. Small group personal training is like an individual training session, but the time and cost is shared with others. Sessions are planned and use resistance machines and free weights not used in traditional fitness classes. As there are fewer participants than classes, closer attention is paid to form and moving well while under load.

 

Who can Join Team Training? 

 

If you're a member of The Gym Hove you can join Team Training regardless of age or experience. There are two types of Team Training sessions for those aged 16-55 and Team Training Older Adults for those aged 55+.

What happens in a session? 

Sessions start with a warm-up that primes your body for the movements planned for the session. You'll then have the movement shown and explained before you start your working sets. At the end of the session, there's a cool-down and mobility focus to help you keep moving well. 

What types of things will I learn in Team Training? 

 

You'll learn all the fundamental lifts like squat, bench press, deadlift, as well as accessory and prehab movements that will keep you strong and healthy. 

 

How many sessions should I attend?

 

You can attend as many as you like as the workouts change each day. The focus will change each session, so you'll still learn all the different movements if you can only participate once a week.

Can I try Team Training for free? 

 

Yes! Everyone gets one free session to see if Team Training is for them. 

 

Where does Team Training take place?

 

Team Training is held at The Gym Hove and uses equipment across the facility.

What time are the sessions? 

 

Team Training

Monday 12:00 - 13:00

Wednesday 09:00 - 10:00

Friday 17:00 - 18:00

 

Older Adult Team Training 

Monday 09:00 - 10:00

Wednesday 10:00 - 11:00

 

Further times can be added based on demand. If you and some friends want to join but the above times don't work for you, send Mark a message, and he'll try to accommodate you. 

 

How much does Team Training cost? 

 

Team Training costs £10 per session, or unlimited sessions for £99.99 and Virtual Classes are included.
